Monsoon Plantation Drive at Goa University

Goa University has partnered with Vriksh Foundation, for a tree plantation drive at various areas identified at the University.

Goa University (unigoa.ac.in) is an institute of pre-eminence enrolling 32,000+ youth in graduate and post-graduate programmes.

Vriksh Foundation is a registered Charitable Trust focusing on reforestation and biodiversity recovery. It is registered under Sections 12A and 80G of Income Tax.

Activity Details

When:

Friday, Saturday, Sunday (Jun 28 – 30), 10.30 am onwards*

*Site preparation work is dependent on rains, in case of changes in dates, it will be updated to all participants.

Goa University SBI Branch and Science Block

How can I participate?

You can do one or all of the following:

1. Volunteer: Roll up your sleeves and help us dig & plant the trees!

2. Donate: Projects are resource intensive, please contribute and help make them a success. Donations are used for pre-work (site preparation, digging, tools, equipment, machinery, labour), procurement of manure, procurement of saplings (we also work to get as many as possible for free from various sources), and importantly on-going site maintenance - especially watering during summers to ensure survival of trees.

All donations are tax exempt under Section 80G of Indian Income Tax, one can claim tax benefit and receipts will be provided.

Imp Note: Only donations in INR from Bank Accounts in India are accepted at this stage.

3. Awareness: Pass the message on! Create awareness, help more people join the movement.
